WeShine Early Intervention Programme

Explore WeShine’s Early Intervention Programme (EIP) at our TTDI, Kuala Lumpur and USJ 21, Subang Jaya centres. Arrange a free centre visit to learn about the programme and discuss enrolment. Psychological assessments and therapy sessions are separate services; our team will confirm the arrangements and fees.

Enrolment in WeShine Early Intervention Programme (WeShine EIP) starts with an assessment conducted by experienced clinical psychologists.

This assessment will identify your child’s precise developmental level as well as their strengths and weaknesses. This information in turn will be used for the development of your child’s Individualised Education Plan (IEP), which is unique to your child and caters to his/her abilities, culture, background, and education system.

Each IEP will then be executed by the WeShine EIP team during EIP classes under the monitoring of the clinical psychologist assigned to your child. Any concerns that arise during EIP classes will be managed together by the team with the support of the child’s parents. Feedback sessions will also be conducted with parents to share the progress of the child’s learning following the child’s Individualised Education Plan.

The individualised education plan, clear goals, and good working relationship between our WeShine team and you will ensure a successful and fun journey for your child.

A Factor That Makes WeShine EIP Successful

Some EIP programmes have the same goals for all their students regardless of age, diagnosis and abilities. This is because they may not provide Individualised Education Programmes for their students. Therefore, the students may receive the same learning even though the students have different strengths and weaknesses. This may result in the student not learning the skills that they need to improve or may be learning skills that they have mastered which will lead to less improvement.

WeShine EIP is curated by Clinical Psychologists together with Special Needs Teachers and Occupational Therapists to be able to provide an Individualised Education Programme for our students.

What Do Clinical Psychologists Do?

Early Intervention Programme is tailored to your child – one child’s programme differs from another’s. WeShine Early Intervention Programme focuses on helping eligible children learn the basic and brand new skills that typically develop during the first few years of their lives, such as physical: reaching, rolling, crawling, walking cognitive: thinking, learning, solving problems communication: talking, listening, understanding social/emotional: playing, feeling secure and happy self-help: eating and dressing Many parents may have trouble finding a place to send their kids, and might enrol them in mainstream kindergartens which may not be suitable for children with special needs. Hence, the EIP will aid your child by increasing their chances to succeed in school and life, enhance their skills, and catch up with peers of their age
